Valley of teh Psalms

Well, last Thursday we had our regular Feig Feast in the Cathedral. A good crowd were in attendance and much fun was had by all. There were the Crucible sculptures to enjoy and we also had a walk through meditation to experience. Min & I created two 'valley's' using glowing floating balloons, two versions of Psalm 23. One was Psalm 23 reversed and the other was Psalm 23 remixed.

Here they are for you to ponder over:

Psalm 23 Reversed
I am my own;
I can buy what I want.
My bed is the softest made.
Wherever I walk, people look in envy.
Even though I walk through the valley of death I fear no one,
for I am the meanest person in the valley.
I spread a table finer than any of my enemies.
The best of life will be at my fingertips all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in the best house in the city.

by Darrel Manson

Psalm 23 Remixed
God is my guide & guard. What more could I need?
You bed me down in a place called ‘Home’
And quench my thirst for ‘Life.’
True to your word, you let me catch my breath
and send me in the right direction.

Even though life can feel like the darkest alley late at night
And far from that place called ‘Home’
I'm not afraid when you walk at my side.

Yes you stand with me and steer me.

You feed me, even when life is closing in around me
And you help me to walk tall- that’s how lucky I am.

Your beauty and love chase after me
every day of my life.
I'm back home in the house of God
for the rest of my life
