I've just got back from a family break and feel full of energy and I'm looking forward to the New Year. I've been thinking a bit about hopes for Feig at the start of 2011.
Here are my thoughts...
If I were to sum up my hopes for Feig in the coming year it would be to seek more fun, adventure and risk (that fun kind of risk- like jumping off the top diving board when you were a kid) and that as we did these things we would discover that Jesus is right in the midst of them.
I'm also using Henri Nouwen's 'Bread for the Journey' as a reflective guide at the moment and a couple of days ago he wrote this about friendship
Friendship is one of the greatest gifts a human being can receive It is a bond beyond common goals, common interests, or common histories... Friendship makes all of life shine brightly. Blessed are those who lay down their lives for their friends.Feig is a community of friends and my hope for the year is that this continues to grow.
